Benefits of Getting a Home in the ‘Smart Green City’

Availing a home amidst the green surroundings is an all-time favourite idea. If you get a home amidst the cleanest eco-friendly township, it is more than expectation. Something similar is happening with the investors who are investing in the real estate property in Rajarhat area. There are many benefits of buying a property in the New Town-Rajarhat township which is expected to become the first ‘smart green city’ of India. Some significant ones have been discussed below:

1. Encouraged by the CM Miss Mamata Banerjee, Hidco is planning to develop the area as the Green City. A massive plantation programme is undergoing with an estimated 40,000 saplings to be planted in varied parts of the township. This project will be run in tandem with the national programme ‘Namami Ganga’. The project will begin most presumably on July 15, 2017.

2. We all know what the menacing impacts of pollution are! It is one of the biggest gifts if we can develop our home amidst the cleanest environments possible, other than the forests of course. The vehicle-tracking system is expected to manage the waste material disposal and management in proper terms. Under this scheme, the municipality vehicles that are used to collect and dispose off the waste materials are going to be tracked. One can internally monitor its movement on the official website of the municipal authority.

3. Soon the movement of the municipal sweepers will come under the tracking system as well. This tracking system is Wi-Fi enabled and authorities in the Hidco Bhavan are already using this method to keep a tab on the quality of services offered by the employees.

4. When the real estate developers in Kolkata put down the plans of the housing projects before the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA), they do a thorough online scrutiny of the plan. The observations are the results of special software verification thereby reducing the chances of flaw. After the verification, the applicant is notified through an official email or a text message. The sanctioned plan of the building is sent via an email with the digital signature. These steps not only save time but also save a precious natural resource like paper from being wasted thereby, ultimately saving the trees.

5. NKDA is planning to install LED street lamps and solar panels on rooftops. The installation of canal-top solar energy batteries is under preparation.

Owning a home in the New Town-Rajarhat area is going to pay off in the long run. There is no worthier reward than to be able to give a healthy environment to your family. A better future is expected for the residents of the ‘smart green city’.
